Electronics Technician/Installer:

DUTIES: In this position the candidate will perform installation, repair and maintenance services on a wide variety of electronic security systems (ESS), video management systems (VMS), closed circuit TV systems (CCTV), intrusion detection systems (IDS), and access control systems (ACS).

Specifically, this position requires broad knowledge of systems installation requirements, which includes: installation of conduit and cabling, installing system equipment enclosures, device mounting and placement, network hardware installation & configuration, installation of VMS, IDS and ACS work stations, electrical power requirements, NEC and NFPA (general knowledge), BICSI (general knowledge), as well as producing and submitting the required documentation related to the systems installed.

This position may require up to 75% local travel to conduct system installations, system repairs and recurring maintenance of installed systems. This position will also support system testing & completion and customer acceptance testing of newly installed systems. The preferred candidate will be well versed with a variety of ESS systems and computer applications and open to learning new platforms in use by the company.

EXPERIENCE: Two to three years of practical experience, to include: IESS installation, electronics repair, maintenance, testing, and system turnover. Candidate must have previous experience with electronic and physical security systems. Experience with AMAG, DMP, Genetec, Bosch, Lenel, Milestone VMS and other security systems is a plus. Willing to train the right candidates. Candidate must have experience in system installations, cable dressing, making/repairing connectors, fiber optics cable installation and termination and system programming.

Must be a US Citizen. Candidate must be eligible for, or able to obtain, the appropriate clearance required for this position; or be able to pass an extensive background check.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.

Salary: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour
